Lack of Updates

Emulation, Fruit Machine Emulation waffle 11 Comments
Ok, so there’s been a distinct lack of updates recently.
Life has been a bit weird over the last couple of weeks, and it’s been a hectic time at work.
The missing content (JPeMu, naturally) is coming… honest! No new emulators to download or anything quite so exciting, but some bona-fide FME talk… which is a novel thing of late!

Haway, let’s have some (new) FME downloads for the lads!
Cheers.

Nice site, I like the history section. Is “Guitarous Maximus” a way of saying Im a bit of an ass? Hehe. Anyway I hope the site proves to be fruitfull (pun intended).

@Niallquinn, I don’t have anything new to release? What did you have in mind?
@Guitar, lol no it was actually in recognition of not only how much you’ve achieved, but in VB too!

Oh I know, all in good fun.
If you want to see an impressive feat in VB, check out VBSpec, its a zx spectrum emulator (all 4 iterations 48k, 128k, +2, +2A), it’ll run the system at approx 4x real time (16MHz) if you take the brakes off. Ive been changing my emu to use some of its tecniques.
Its open source under GNU too so I will be borrowing the z80 core in it for some fairly obvious techs at a later date.

Yeah, I’ve been following VBSpec for a while – quite impressive indeed!
@jafc, I’m sure the rumour mill is more than capable of stirring up its own rumours without me lol! Seriously though, I don’t have anything to release, but I will get around to posting about stuff that I have been working on in due course. Biggest issue right now is lack of time – I do about 5 hrs of commuting each day and have my weekends are fully booked so it all happens slowly…

Well, there’s some pics of JPeMu v3 on the site here. It basically was too much work at the time, and I wanted to shift my attention to looking at Epoch so it got canned. As for JPeMu v4, I’m in the process of writing a page about that, so all in good time! Don’t get too excited though, it’s not much more than a bunch of ideas and prototypes right now.

Good stuff, look forward to it. In the days of few FME’s, even reading about them is interesting!!!

Lol, not exactly. Unfortunately I’ve not had as much time as I would have liked so it’ll just have to wait a while longer until I do. Such is the way with such hobbies as this I guess?
